The Village: Times Square
2018
Times Square Alliance with JDXP
Times Square Alliance opened its doors for outdoor furniture submissions from a handful of designers. The JDXP team developed five designs to present to the Times Square team. Both sides found the “village” concept to be the most appropriate for the site, where 300,000 people visit everyday. A design with verticality in mind would require special attention to structural integrity.
I developed two of the five concepts used in the final pitch to Times Square. I was also in charge of locating and working with a fabricator to create five pieces on a shoestring budget and on a tight deadline.
