Snapback Billiards Triangle
Patent Pending
The Snapback Billiards Rack was created to solve a frustrating but familiar issue for pool players: disturbing the balls while lifting away the traditional triangle. The concept uses a flexible rear wall that compresses the balls into a tight grouping, then relaxes slightly to allow for a clean removal without shifting the rack. Like the classic one-piece bar table rack, the Snapback adds functionality without introducing additional parts or complexity. The form balances utility with a bold, approachable character that also lends itself well to custom colors and branded applications.
I developed the concept from initial sketches through prototyping and final CAD, focusing on the interaction, mechanical behavior, DFM, and overall product experience. Alongside the product design, I created the renderings, patent drawings, and cinematic visual direction used to build out the project’s atmosphere and storytelling.
